About us
My name is Will and my family is my whole world. I've always prided myself on being able to take care of things around the house, but as the years went by and our family grew, I knew I had to innovate. I found myself coming up with custom solutions to make more space in our home for our four growing children. When things broke, I put them back together. When we needed more space, I found innovative ways to create it.
As my friends and family began to purchase homes and have children, they quickly realized I could help them modify and improve their homes in a similar fashion. My father is a master carpenter and this type of work is in my blood. I take great pride in treating your home the same way I do my own and helping your family maximize their spaces as well.
Today, having earned my contractor's license, the sky is the limit for how I can help you modify your home to make it work for you and your family. This summer was the second year my two oldest daughters joined me on the job to learn the family business. We look forward to meeting you soon to see how our family can help yours!

The remodel process, explained
Here at Lake Forest Home Remodel, we partner with some of the best local design showrooms and material suppliers such as Surface Concepts, Fixtures & Faucets, and Sub Zero/Wolf. We only use National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) certified interior, kitchen, and bathroom designers and source our appliances and fixtures from some of the top names in the industry such as Sub Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Cove, Bosch, Cambria, Fisher & Paykel, Hansgrohe, and more!
The remodel process always starts with an initial consultation: What are you looking to accomplish? What types of materials are you interested in using? What is the vision for your project? From there we reach out to our design team to incorporate the latest products and apply your own personal design elements to the project. We utilize 3D modeling to show you exactly how your space will look and often provide samples for every part of the remodel phase from hardware types to finishes. Once a final design is decided upon, we draft layout and design elements and then build an estimate for you from there. This can take some time to get right, so we like to start as far in advance as possible.
Now it's time to draw up the contract. This finalizes your labor and material costs. We take a deposit, materials are ordered, and fabrication on various components begins. This can take anywhere from a few days tp several months depending on your project scope. As such, we try to establish realistic timeframes to begin construction and to identify an approximate date of completion.
Construction begins! This is one of the most exciting times for any project. You get to watch your space transform in real time. It is our job to protect your home and your family so we work diligently to minimize dust, hazards, and obstructions from impacting your daily routines. We encourage you to communicate any needs or challenges during this time so we can try to make it easier for you.
Often times during the construction phase, modifications present themselves and changes need to be made. We utilize what's known as a "change order" for any modifications to the original contract. This includes the proposed cost, materials, and timeliness adjustments to the original scope. Your signature is always required in order to maintain constant communication about your project. An immediate payment for the changes that have been outlined may be necessary.
During this process, another very important task may be taking place depending on your project: an inspection. A city inspector must be called out during various phases of the project to make sure that what is being done is up to code in your city. After each phase is complete, the inspector signs off before we continue. Once completed, your project will get a final inspection. We submit the paperwork to your local building department and you get a copy of everything for your records as well.
Congratulations! Your project is now complete that now makes your home feel a little more like your own personal space and sanctuary. In other words, HOME! You've added value to your property and can feel confident knowing that the work was performed properly and that your investment is secure and your family is safe with work done to the latest codes and standards. Our goal is to make this process transparent and have you feel confident in the work being done.
