Lake Forest Handyman SMART Trailer Purchase
I searched through Craigslist and other trailer sites on a daily basis looking for what we had determined would be needed. My searches NEVER yielded a single result that met all of our requirements. This meant that I would have to purchase NEW and that my budget would have to grow in order to accommodate this goal. This meant pushing the purchase out nearly another year.
Fast forward to 2019 and Lake Forest Handyman was stable enough to support purchasing a built-to-order 2020 Look Element 7x12 Tandem Axle with 84" of head room, 16" OC side posts, 32" side door, and fold down ramp door. I had called multiple dealerships and pricing was almost identical with the primary difference being service. Yucaipa Trailers based in Yucaipa, CA won my business. They treated me fairly while helping to educate me about trailers, practicality, and differences between brands and models.
Our 2020 Look Element 7x12x7 landed at a total cost of $7,967.01 including taxes. I was happy with this price based on my research and a deposit was placed on 4/13/19. The hardest part? It was going to be an estimated 12-14 weeeks before delivery. The wait was on....
